- Using Inpresence™
What is Inpresence?
Inpresence™ is a nervous system companion designed to help you notice what you’re experiencing, identify what you need, and support you in the moment.
How do I choose what I need right now?
Simply follow the prompts in the app. If you’re not sure, choose the response that feels closest to what you’re experiencing.
How does a regulation cycle work?
Inpresence™ guides you through the experience step by step. If you need help while using the app, tap the Help icon within the app. You can also watch the Tutorial within the app.
What is the Resilience Library?
The Resilience Library gives you additional opportunities to explore and understand your experiences, including resources related to nervous system regulation and resilience.
What happens after I complete a regulation experience?
Inpresence™ will guide you to the next step based on your experience. You can also return to the app whenever you need support.
- Privacy & Data
For the full privacy and safety policy, view the Inpresence Privacy & Support Policy page. The privacy and safety policy is also accesible via the app in Settings.
- Safety & Appropriate Use
The Inpresence platform is a tool to help people regulate their nervous system in the moment. It is not therapy. It is not a replacement for professional intervention. Please view the full privacy and safety policy at the Inpresence Privacy Policy. This policy is also viewable inside the app.
- Subscriptions & Purchases:
- How do I subscribe?
Inpresence runs on a simple monthly subscription, and every plan starts with a 7-day free trial so you can explore before anything is charged. To subscribe, open the app and follow the prompt to view plans (or visit our pricing page from any browser). Choose the plan that fits your journey: Focused, Whole Life, or Circle of Care, and complete secure checkout through Stripe. After checkout, you’ll create your account and verify your email, then your trial is active. You won’t be charged until your 7-day trial ends.
- How do I cancel?
You can cancel anytime and keep access until the end of your current billing period. Since your subscription is managed by Stripe, the fastest way is the self-serve billing portal: in the app, go to Settings, then under Subscription tap “Manage Billing.” If the link doesn’t open on your device, go to stripe.com/billing directly and sign in with the email you subscribed with. From there you can cancel your plan. Your reflections, progress, and account stay intact if you ever want to come back.
- How do I restore my purchase?
Your subscription is linked to your account email, not your device, so there’s nothing to “restore” in the traditional sense. Just sign in with the same email and password (or Apple/Google, if you used those) on your new device or after reinstalling. If your subscription has ended, you’ll see a “Restart your subscription” option when you open the app. If you were charged but access isn’t showing, make sure you’re signed in with the exact email used at checkout.
- How do I change my payment method?
Payment methods are managed securely in the Stripe billing portal. In the app, go to Settings, then under Subscription tap “Manage Billing” to open it. From there you can update your card, add a new payment method, or change billing details. If the link doesn’t open in-app, go to stripe.com/billing and sign in with your subscription email.
- What happens when my subscription expires?
If your trial ends or you cancel and your billing period runs out, your account enters a paused state. You’ll see a screen letting you know your subscription has ended and offering an easy way to restart. Your journals, session history, progress, and saved resources are all kept safe; you just won’t be able to open the app’s full features until you restart. There’s no new free trial on a restart, but everything you built is right where you left it.
- How do I request a refund?
Refunds are not granted if you have used the app during the charged time period. Otherwise, refunds are handled by the payment provider that processed your charge. Because all Inpresence subscriptions run through Stripe, start by opening the Stripe billing portal (Settings → “Manage Billing,” or stripe.com/billing) and locating the charge to request a refund. If the portal can’t resolve it, contact our support team with the email on your account and the approximate date of the charge, and we’ll help look into it.
- I was charged but don’t have access
This usually means the subscription isn’t linked to the account you’re signed in with. First, sign out and sign back in using the exact email you used at checkout, including any Apple or Google sign-in method you may have chosen. Access can take a few minutes to reflect after checkout. If you’re still locked out after confirming the email matches, contact support with your charge details and the email used, and we’ll connect the subscription to your account.
- I purchased through Apple/Google; who handles my billing?
All Inpresence subscriptions are processed securely through Stripe, even when you’re using the app on an iPhone or Android. Apple and Google are used for signing in (Apple and Google sign-in) and for downloading the app itself, but they do not handle your subscription billing. To manage, cancel, update, or refund your subscription, use the Stripe billing portal via Settings → “Manage Billing.”
- Account & Device
Create an account
Account creation happens right after you start your free trial or redeem a demo code. Once your trial or code is verified, you’ll be prompted to create your account with an email and password. On the mobile app, you can also continue with Apple or Google. We’ll send a 6-digit verification code to your email, enter it to confirm and you’re in. If you’re a web visitor, you’ll be guided to download the mobile app after setup, since Inpresence is a mobile-first experience.
Open the app and enter the email and password you created your account with. On the mobile app, if you signed up using Apple or Google, you can use those buttons to sign back in. If you’ve forgotten your password, use the “Forgot password?” link on the sign-in screen. Have a demo code? There’s a field on the sign-in screen to enter and apply it.
- Forgot password
On the sign-in screen, tap “Forgot password?” and enter the email on your account. We’ll send a secure reset link to that inbox. Open the email and tap the link to land on the reset page, then choose a new password. For your security, we always show a confirmation regardless of whether the email exists. If the email doesn’t arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder and request a new link.
- Change email/password
Your password can be reset anytime using the “Forgot password?” flow on the sign-in screen — even if you’re already logged in, just sign out first. Your email is tied to your account identity and isn’t directly editable in the app; if you need to change it, contact our support team and we’ll help. Your display name, on the other hand, can be updated anytime in Settings.
- Sign out
Open Settings and tap “Sign Out” near the bottom of the screen. You’ll be returned to the start screen and can sign back in anytime with your credentials. Signing out doesn’t affect your subscription or any of your data.
- Delete account
You can permanently delete your account from Settings, under the “Delete Account” section near the bottom. The process walks you through exactly what will be erased (journals, session history, profile, saved resources, progress, and more) and asks you to confirm twice, since this can’t be undone. Your consent and compliance records are retained as required by policy, and any active subscription is cancelled. Note: if you’re a professional/clinician, your account is connected to client oversight and seat management, so deletion is coordinated through your organization’s Practice Lead rather than self-service.
- New phone/device
Just download Inpresence from the App Store or Google Play on your new device and sign in with the same email and password (or Apple/Google if you used those at signup). Your subscription, reflections, progress, and saved resources are all linked to your account (email), so everything carries over automatically, there’s nothing to transfer.
- Multiple devices
Yes, you can be signed in on more than one device at the same time. Just sign in with the same account on each device and your data syncs across them, so you can pick up wherever you left off. For your privacy and security, the app will lock after a period of inactivity; if you’ve set up a PIN, you’ll use that to get back in.
- Lost access to account
If you can’t sign in because you’ve forgotten your password, use “Forgot password?” on the sign-in screen to reset it via email. If you’ve lost access to the email on your account, contact our support team with any details you can recall: the name on the account, approximate signup date, or any charge receipts, and we’ll help verify your identity and recover access.
- Feedback & Reporting
Something isn’t working
We’re sorry something’s giving you trouble. Let us know right from the app using the Feedback button. Describe what happened and what you expected instead. The more detail you can share (the steps you took, what you tapped, and any message you saw), the faster we can track it down and fix it.
- Something is confusing
Your clarity matters. If a screen, flow, or piece of wording doesn’t make sense, send a note through the in-app Feedback button describing what felt confusing and what you were trying to do. We read every piece of feedback and use it to make the experience clearer.
Be sure to visit the Tour in Settings and tap the (?) Help bubbles to get tips on how to use each page.
- I have an idea
We’d love to hear it. Share your idea through the in-app Feedback button with as much or as little detail as you like. Suggestions from people actually using Inpresence directly shape what we build next.
- I found an error
If something looks broken, mislabeled, or incorrect, tell us via the in-app Feedback button. Note where you saw the error and what it said, and we’ll investigate and get it corrected.
- I want to suggest a situation/content
Inpresence is built around the real situations people face. If there’s a situation, life domain, or piece of content you wish the app covered, send it through the in-app Feedback button. Tell us the situation in your own words and why it would help. We use these suggestions to expand the library.
- I have a concern about an experience
Your safety and trust come first. If something in the app felt harmful, upsetting, or off, use the in-app Feedback button to share what happened in your own words. Your message is delivered verbatim to our team so we can review it carefully and respond. If you’re in acute distress right now, please reach out to the crisis resources available within the app or contact local emergency services.
